About ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)

ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) is a specialized form of IVF where a single healthy sperm is directly injected into a mature egg to achieve fertilization. It’s especially helpful for male infertility issues, such as low sperm count or poor motility, and improves fertilization chances in complex fertility cases.

In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) is a fertility treatment where eggs are fertilized by sperm in a lab. The resulting embryos are then transferred into the uterus to achieve pregnancy.

IVF is recommended for couples with infertility issues such as blocked fallopian tubes, male infertility, unexplained infertility, or failed IUI treatments.

Most IVF steps, including egg retrieval and embryo transfer, are minimally invasive and performed under sedation or anesthesia, causing little to no pain.

Success rates vary based on age, health, and fertility factors, but advancements in IVF technology have significantly improved the chances of a successful pregnancy.
